Mrrr.. I really hate how my art looks right now. -stuck- Anyways, one of my shadow realm species -- a Tumahayag. |D
Description:
Tumahayag -- Crow/Phoenix-like birds who have large head feathers, long beaks, and a head bulb. One of the smartest known species in the shadow realm. They can live up to 1600 years and regenerate theirselves from ash, much like a phoenix, but they can only do it twice. The bulbs on their heads are filled with a glowing fluid that reacts to moisture. It glows brightest in the water to attract fish. When something touches it, it's produces a sticky substance so it would be hard to escape from it. This method is very similar to the Tobeira's hunting method, and they're closely related. Older males wear the bones of their deceased parents as a token of respect. The skulls are very strong, and can be made into protective wear.
